Challenge
Patient team members currently rely on manual, inconsistent, and long processes to match patients to available studies and confirm those matches before submission to a site. This creates variability in how matches are evaluated and creates delays when discrepancies are caught late in the process. We need a standardized tool to guide staff through accurate, efficient patient-to-study matching and confirmation.
Approach
Received a prototype from the Head of Product for a tool to help users reduce the time spent speaking to patients while confirming and matching them to studies.
Conducted 3 user interviews to identify pain points within their current workflows.
Iterated on design directions based on user feedback to ensure an intuitive experience.
Built a functional prototype that could be handed off to developers for integration into our current tech stack.
Solution
An internal SaaS tool that standardizes and streamlines the patient-to-study matching process, guiding staff through a consistent set of checks to confirm accurate matches before submission to a site. The tool reduces variability across reviewers, catches discrepancies earlier in the workflow, and creates a clear audit trail — improving match accuracy and reducing downstream delays.
